The rumors are true: Wendy’s is giving its iconic Frosty a change of image for the first time in 55 years.
On Thursday, April 10, the fast food chain confirmed the alignment of ice creamy and icy mergers, and fans can have the combined candy in their hands before what they think.
Rumors began to turn about the changes in the Frosty at the end of February, and Wendy confirmed the introduction of sweets in early March, but did not have a start date for new articles.
Frosty swirls, which will allow customers to add caramel, strawberry or brownie batter to any chocolate or vanilla Frosty, will be the first to reach the menu.
These three frozen swirls cannot be ordered on Friday, April 11 in the mobile application and in stores on Tuesday, April 15:
- Strawberry Frosty Swirl It has sweet and juicy strawberry sauce and covered with creamy ice cream.
- Ice cream swirl It is an equally sweeter gift that knows a cold and creamy caramel bar.
- Brownie Frosty Swirl battery It is a decadent and chocolate frozen delight.
Frosty mergers are a little further, arriving at Wendy’s locations throughout the country on Monday, May 12. These frostys will allow customers to mix in “sauce and several sweets” such as pop-tarts and oreos or Vanilla Frosty.
Frosty Frosty Pop-Tarts fusion is the first time that the cake is officially offered as a mixture for a frozen dessert, according to a press release.
For the first time, fans can get an additional flavor in their ice cream with one of these options:
- Pop-Tarts Strawberry Strawberry Fusion It combines the Wendy icy and sweet strawberry sauce with crispy crispy chunks with strawberry flavor.
- Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion Take the ice cream classic turned with chocolate brownie battery sauce and mix with perfectly crispy oreo cookie pieces.
- Crunch Fosta fusion caramel It combines the ice cream classic with crispy caramel pieces and a sweet caramel sauce.
“Frosty has been in Wendy’s menu for 55 years and is one of the most iconic frozen treats in American culture,” said Lindsay Radkoski, CMO of the United States for the Wendy company, in a statement. “We are expanding our promised Frosty, so when a sweet tooth occurs, the choice is easy for consumers: it has to be from Wendy.”
“We know that consumers are always looking for new flavors and ways to customize their order with sauces and mixtures. We cannot wait for everyone to experience more to enjoy our iconic ice cream!”
