A Walmart employee in Newton County, Georgia, shot and killed a person inside the store and another person in a residence early Friday.
Associated Press pointed out that the shooting inside the store occurred at 1:30 am, leaving a dead employee and another injured employee. The gunman then went to a nearby residence and killed another person.
Fox 5 Atlanta reported that the individual killed in the house was also Walmart’s employee.
The violence began when an employee left the store, recovered a gun from his vehicle and came back. He was captured on the other side of Georgia’s state line in Aiken, South Carolina.
Police indicate that the gunman, the two deceased victims and the victim injured were “all known.”
Newton County Sheriff’s office said: “The suspect specifically addressed the people they knew.”
