The Velocity member takes about 18 months to collect approximately 2 million points with his last balance spent on a next four -week trip to Thailand with his family.

“I have two children (16 and 11 years old) with autism, so travel is not always easy,” Edmonds said. “But we have close family friends who travel with us who feel comfortable and understanding.

“I’m lucky to use my points to also cover your accommodation and help keep costs.”

The Edmonds points cover four flights back from Virgin Economy for husband and children, as well as accommodation for all those who are on the trip, including their five family friends.

Edmonds said that if it weren’t for the points, the trip would have cost him approximately $ 15,000, something he could not pay.

“We could simply do it,” he said. “Part of that reason is because of the needs of my children. They need specific types of accommodation that have appropriate facilities and accommodation their sensory needs.

“Usually, the cost of these hotels tends to be higher.”

It is also the reason why the family has chosen to go to Thailand every two years, with their last vacations that mark their fifth “free” speed trip in 10 years.

“My children are extremely calm there and Thai are so comfortable with them, it’s beautiful.”

Edmonds, who has a member of the leg speed for about 25 years, said that he is always looking for new agreements and sacrifices to maximize his points, ensuring that the purchases of all of the cabbages are aligned with the special agreements of Flybuys a is to it is to this is to it is.
