The director of “Drop”, who moved away from “Scream VII” in December 2023, revealed that he left Slasher’s sequel to the “aggressive” death threats against his children after the dismissal of Melissa Barrera from the FROM FRANCHISE.

Landon was appointed the new director of “Scream VII” in August 2023 after the original directors, Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, retired due to programming conflicts after Spyglass allegedly tried to accelerate the film.
