Los Angeles (AP) -The Quakes kept the Football Club without a score during the first half of Saturday night at stadium BMO despite an injury to the start goalkeeper Daniel, but could not endure, since Denis Bouanga contributed a goal and Beat To Beat to beat San José.

The defender of Los Angeles, Sergi Palencia, scored his first MLS race goal in the 65th minute. Bouanga, on the left side, cut to evade a defender and released a shot from the corner of the penalty zone that was stopped by goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr., but Palencia hit the rebound to open the score.

Edwards, acquired during the low season from New England, became the 20th minute after Daniel fell with an head injury after a collision with Lafc striker Olivier Giroud.

“I think the part that was interesting is that I am not sure if it was called a foul or a yellow card and you take a goalkeeper with a brain shock,” said Quakes coach Bruce Arena to journalists after the game.

Giroud contributed to the game sealing goal in the 86th minute. In the counterattack, Giroud’s shot from the top of the penalty arc was stopped by an Edwards diving, but Bouanga touched the rebound inside the near post to put the 2-0.

In the fifth minute of the detention time, Josef Martínez waited calmly while three defenders closed near the penalty point, then took advantage of Cristian Espinoza for a first-touch end that got San José (3-4-1, 10 points) on the board. But it was not enough to avoid loss.

Each team had a golden opportunity in the first 15 minutes of the game, but Bouanga ski a chance about the crossbar and Martínez sent their shot directly to the goalkeeper of Lafc, Hugo Lloris, keeping the game without score.

The earthquakes had an equalizer of Chicho Arango, ruled out of the 73rd minute and begged a penalty in the labor ball in the dying moments of the game when the ball bounced on the arm of the defender of LaFC Ryan Hollingshead, but the reference assistant assistant against against against it.

“We had a lot of boys who played well, and they did. It was a good game and gave them credit,” Arena said. “I think that getting out of a game in the middle of the week as they did and showing the son of the competitiveness they did, giving them a lot of credit too.”

LAFC (4-4-0, 12 points) had lost consecutive games and four of its last five, while the earthquakes came from a 6-1 or DC United drubing after a first month of the season.

San José will be the host of Sporting Kansas City next Saturday at 7:30 pm in another confrontation of the West Conference.
