Pirates inventing new ways to infuriate fans with Bucco Brick fiasco

Pirates have almost many controversies as victories.

The Troopiezo franchise is dealing with its second controversy in this young season, this time with respect to the “Bucco bricks” paid by fans who disappear outside or PNC Park.

Fans discovered that the “Bucco bricks” were stored in the facilities, while transmitting to KDKA-TV, leaving an obvious omission outside the center of the center.

The pirates announced on Tuesday their plans for a “more permanent exhibition” for bricks, although the franchise did not say when the bricks would return.

“Over the years, a series of environmental factors, including climate and pedestrian traffic, have caused significant damage that leads to multiple complete scarce replacements,” said Senior Communications Vice President Brian Warecki in a statement, according to MLB.com. “This deterioration cycle led our organization to seek a better way to preserve the thesis of messages appreciated in the long term.

“We respect, appreciate and understand how significant are the thesis messages. We share in that feeling. We have bone activation planning to develop and reveal a more permanent screen for special thesis messages to honor support support that fans and fans.

“We hope to share those details soon to celebrate our 25th season.”

It has been a difficult beginning for pirates (4-8) both inside and outside the field, with this situation after an earlier drama on the equipment that eliminates a Roberto Clemento logo for an alcohol ad.

The pirates instituted their “Bucco Bricks” program in 1999 and this renewal marked the third time that the bricks have been displaced for “wear” reasons, by MLB.com.

The bricks had their legs withdrawn at the end of January, with the pirates they tell Kdka at the time they were looking for how to show the bricks better.

That the opening of the team’s house arrived last Friday against the Yankees without the bricks that returned taking by surprise, and the emerging photo of the bricks in the recycling plant joined the confusion.

It is estimated that fans have bought 10,000 bricks over the years.

The bricks provide a human touch to the stadium, in the same way as the Clemente logo in the right field line reminded fans the icon of the late franchise.

Roberto Clemente Jr. criticized the team for his decision to eliminate the tribute sign to his father.

“While we appreciate that pirates clarified their inability to inform us, it reveals a broader problem: a significant lack of collaboration between the organization and issues that are significantly personal and historical significant for us and fans.”

The team finally chose to return the logo.

“We did not intend to miss Roberto Clemente’s legacy by adding the announcement to the PAD in the right field,” said team president Travis Williams, in a statement. “When we added the ad to the pad, it was an oversight not to maintain the logo no. 21. This is ultimately for me, no one in the organization. It was an honest error. We will add 21 logo back to the pad.”
