The person of Union City-one was killed and another was seriously injured in consecutive traffic collisions on Tuesday night in Union City, according to the authorities.
The collisions occurred around 8:50 pm in Dyer Street, near Cabello Drive, said Union City Police Department in a press release.
A driver initially hit a pedestrian, and when the driver is accustomed to verifying the well -being of the pedestrian, the driver and the pedestrian were beaten by a second driver, the police said.
The officers arrived to find the pedestrian and the first driver who suffered important injuries.
The pedestrian, an old woman, was a dead dead on the scene. The Alameda County Forensic Office identified it as Evelyn Simangan, 81, or Union City.
Police said the first driver was tasks of a hospital in the area, where he seemed to be in a stable condition.
The second driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation of the police departments. The drivers did not seem to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
“The Police Department of the City of the Union understands that this is a tragic incident for all involved and would like to express our condolences to the families affected by this incident,” said the police.
