The commentators of the social networks had a field day after a report that former vice president Kamala Harris was consulting a “policies and ideas” center.

The New York Times launched an article on Thursday, headed, “marginalized and still processing its defeat, Harris looks for a return path.”

The article observed how Harris and her husband are “Weighing every new opportunity with the possible political setback in mind ”, since they draw a course for the future.

“One possibility: establishing a policy and ideas institute,” the Times reported. “Brian Nelson, Mrs. Harris advisor since he was the Attorney General of California, has approached the idea with several universities, including Howard and Stanford.

But some allies have noticed that raising money for this center could, depending on donors, create liabilities in future races. “

The notion that Harris’s next political movement could involve starting a group of experts, despite a presidential campaign often criticized by the Gaffes, resulted in many jokes in social media media such as X.

The senior writer of Washington Free Beacon Andrew Stiles summed up the report as “Nyt: Kamala Harris, known for his deep knowledge and ability to articulate complex issues, is thinking of launching” a policy and ideas institute. “

He joked that the institute would be called “the Kamala D. Harris Institute to examine the importance of understanding what needs to be done,” attractive to simulate the “Harris words salads.”

“Work 1: find some ideas and learn what politics is,” joked Stephen Green from PJ Media.

Republican communicator Matt Whitlock said: “The ‘Kamala Harris Institute for policies and ideas’ sounds a bit like a head of Babylon Bee. Something like the Kardashians opened a group of experts.”

Twitchy Doug Powers published: “The Kamala Harris center for the lack of rise in what has been supplied a well of bottomless material.”

“[The Babylon Bee] You can’t compete with this, ”wrote Nathan Brand, communications professional, Nathan Brand.

The Deputy Communications Director of the Republican Party, Abigail Jackson, suggested that the center be called “The Coconut Tree Institute”, referring to a often mocked appointment of Harris.

“I can only imagine the type of deep thinkers who will be affiliated with this company,”
