A magistrate judge from New Mexico and his wife are under trial after they allegedly housed the members of the Aragua gang. The judge resigned from his post last week after the Immigration and Customs Compliance officials arrested a Venezuelan man who says he lived in his property.
The officials in charge of enforcing ICE’s law arrested Judge Judge recently resigned from Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy, at home at Las Cruces, New Mexico, Thursday. ICE officials executed a search warrant and a probable cause order and qualified them, Fox 14 reported. Joel Cano is currently responsible for manipulating evidence and his wife is accused of conspiracy to manipulate, according to the report.
Cano’s couple was hired at the Dona Ana County Detention Center between 6:30 and 7 p..M. Thursday, the Albuquerque diary Reported. They are currently being heroes without bond. Ortega-López remains in custody in jail before a detention hearing. It is scheduled to appear in the New Mexico District Court on April 30.
It is not clear if Judge Cano or his wife, Nancy, will be accused of housing an illegal foreigner or providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
