President Donald Trump pushed Russia on Friday to “move” towards a high fire with Ukraine, as a special envoy of the Middle East that Steve Witkoff meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
Trump taught Truth Social, where he stressed the casualties in the war.
“Russia has to move. Too many people honor [sic] Dying, thousands of the week, in a terrible war and sensors, a war that should never happen, and it would not have happened, if he were president! “Trump said.
The post came shortly before it was confirmed that Witkoff traveled to St. Petersburg to meet with Putin on Friday, for the third time.
Just before 11:00 am, the Russian news agency TASS reported that Witkoff and Putin had a meeting. The White House Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed the presence of Witkoff in Russia and that met with the senior officials, including Russian President.

“And can you update us about Mr. Witkoff in Russia and what is happening with direct communications with Vladimir Putin?” A journalist asked.
“I can confirm that Mr. Witkoff is in Russia to have direct communications with the Kremlin and with Vladimir Putin,” Leavitt replied. “This is another step in the negotiation process towards a high fire and a final peace agreement in Russia and Ukraine.”
