Senator John Kennedy (R-La) said Wednesday in “Morning Joe” of MSNBC that President Donald Trump “has won” with his tariff policies because 40% of the world wanted to negotiate.
Kennedy said: “Here is my point from a perspective, from my perspective, he may not share it. President Trump has won. We have an opportunity here. I hope I take advantage of it.”
Coanfrerion Joe Scarborough said: “Senator, I don’t know if he would say that the president still does not know what you said, we don’t know how he will shake.”
Kennedy said: “When I say that the president won, this is what I mean, 40% of the 200 countries of the world would come to the United States now trying to reduce their rates if President Trump had not done what? They cannot afford a commercial war.
He concluded: “President Trump has won this fight, now we do not lose it by not taking advantage of the opportunity.”
