Elon Musk may have moved away from his duties as the protagonist of the Government Efficiency Department and advisor to President Trump, but is still active in the DC circles. This time, it is on the other side, pressing legislators on the relationship of legislation with autonomous vehicles, according to a Bloomberg report that cited unidentified sources.
Musk and others in their orbit have been calling the members of Congress directly, according to Bloomberg. Their efforts seem to address a bill introduced on May 15 called Autonomous Vehicle Acceleration Law.
Musk has opted much of Tesla’s future on AI, robotics and autonomous vehicles. He has often linked the value of the company with its investment and any marketing of autonomous vehicles. And next month, a small Robotaxi service is expected to throw a small and geophotaxi service in Austin, Texas. Tesla also horsen to launch autonomous vehicles of anyone, brand cyberbs, which do not have a turn or steering pedals. But today there are no clear federal rules or standards to allow said vehicle to work on a scale.
