The diagnosis of Olivia Munn cancer made her feel “insecure” about shooting sex scenes with John Hamm.
“I was really nervous to make a sex scene because I have many scars,” the actress confessed in a new interview with the refrigerator published in Los Angeles Times.
“Scars that can be seen in clothes and scars that you would not know unless it was completely naked.”
Munn, 44, learned that he had breast cancer in April 2023. He underwent a double mastectomy 30 days later and had four surgeries in total during the next 10 months.
The television star had signed in time to make “your friends and neighbors”, in front of Hamm, 54, in which she plays the long -term lover of Andrew Cooper, Samantha Levitt.
Due to the dynamics among the characters, Munn recognized the importance of sex scenes.
“Shey is something much more than what he is willing to give and his only connection is through sex,” he added to Times.
“I really wanted that to be portrayed. I wanted sex scenes to feel like sex scenes; I wanted them to feel visceral and intense and not stop at all.”
Munn shared that she and Ham worked with an intimacy coordinator, and she also did a lot of search for the soul, which helped through the performances.
“I felt insecure, but every time I did, I felt better,” said the “writing room” student, adding that despite his illness, he was “so grateful” for his body because “he put himself [her] Through this. “
In addition to Hamm, Jonathan Tropper, who created the new Apple TV+series, also provides great support in the set after learning of his health struggles.
“Every time some tell you that, you just tell you that you expect them to be well and that their health is the most important thing,” the Times passed.
“We were committed to doing what we had to do in the program to make sure I was resting when I needed to rest and that we could what we could with its schedule to make sure we have the time I needed for your health.”
Tropper added: “It was a difficult terrible conversation at all, because it is very sincere about that, and almost the thing.”
Munn is now free of Cater, but said that the good news has come with a bittersweet warning, pointing out: “I will look at my shoulder for the rest of my life.”
“Your Friends & Neighbours” is now being transmitted on Apple TV+, with new episodes that are released on Fridays.
