Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) claimed on Thursday in the “deadline” of MSNBC that if President Donald Trump continues to impose tariffs, the Republicans “abandon it as rats of a ship that sinks.”
Host Nicolle Wallace said: “I mean, the other thing that happened is that Donald Trump’s approval index has lunch. It has a general approval of 41% and up to 40% in the economy. The rates are lower than that. The topic chosen Rassert? Republicans”
Schiff said: “Well, he had continued, and if he is continuously along this rate, he destroys our economy, this self -inflicted wound to our economy, the Republicans will abandon him as rats of a ship that sinks. He threw a resolution, Tim Kaine made, obtained four Republican votes, enough to be approved in the Senate to try to stop these destructive tariffs in Canada.”
He added: “That was the Republicans not only speaking in private, not only speaking publicly, but voting real against the president. And you will see more and more of that, the more destruction it contributes to our thesis, as Theis’s thesis. The last Flip-Flop, saying that it was a flip-flop, was planned in that way.
