Jim Irsay Dead at 65: Indianapolis Colts Owner Passes Away

Owner of Indianapolis Colts Jim Irsay He has died at the age of 65.

The NFL team gave the news through its social media accounts on Wednesday, May 21, sharing that Irsay died “peacefully while sleeping this afternoon.”

“We are devastated to announce that our dear owner and CEO, Jim Irsay, died peacefully as he sleeps this afternoon,” the statement said. “Jim’s dedication and passion for the Indianapolis Colts, in addiction to His generosity, commitment to the community, and Most Importently, His love for his family, were Unsurpassed. Our Deepest Sympathies Go To His Daughters, Caseyts, and Case-Gordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon, Andygordon Case-Gesayts, and Gordsters, and Case Jacks, and Case Jacks, and Case Yacks, and Case Yacksyts, and Case Yackson, and Case Yacksyts, and Caseytson, Andygordon, Andygords.

The statement continued: “Some of Jim’s best memories came from his youth job training fields in Baltimore and growing relations with players, coaches and personnel who considered his extended family. He worked in all the department before being appointed the youngest general manager in the history of the team in 1984 when the colts arrived in Indianapolis in 1997.

“Jim’s love and appreciation for the NFL, in addition to its history, tradition and principles, influenced him to become an administrator of the game through his 50 years in the League. Irsay was the main owner and president of the Colts from 1997 until his death after the inheritance to his father’s team, Robert IrsayWho died in 1997.

Under their watch, the Colts advanced two Super Bowls and won the Super Bowl XLI in 2007.

He was an incredible generous and passionate owner and I will always be indebted to him for giving me my beginning in the NFL,” shared the retired field marshal through Instagram on Wednesday night. “His love for the Colts and the city of Indy was not the same. His impact on the players who played for him will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all in the community of the Colts. We will miss him. Jim, my friend rests in peace, #18”.

Irsay survives his ex -wife, MegHis three daughters, Carley” Casey and Nakedand his 10 grandchildren.
