Cryptographic industry executives are reinforcing personal security and demanding more bodyguards in response to a recent series of kidnapping and rescue attempts worldwide, partly in France, aimed at investors and professionals in the sector.
According to a Bloomberg report, Infinite Risks International, a private security firm based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, is seeing more consultations about body guard services and more long -term customers that are recorded to obtain a private security detail.
In addition, French law officials recently announced improved security measures for cryptographic entrepreneurs and investors, after three kidnapping incidents separated so far in 2025.

The measures include safety and accelerated access to police lines in the case of emergencies for entrepreneurs and their families.
The French law authorities also advised cryptographic investors not to announce their wealth or wear cryptographic clothing, at least their possibilities to become objectives. The disturbing incident chain highlights the need for proactive security measures and surveillance for cryptographic and professional investors in the industry.

The recent kidnapping chain and rescue attempts impacts France
David Balland, co -founder of Hardware Wallet Company Ledger, was kidnapped in January 2025 and retained by rescue for several days before being rescued by the French police.
In May 2024, the father of an unidentified cryptographic businessman was released from a rescue attempt after the officials responsible for enforcing French law raided the location in a suburb of Paris where the individual was hostage by an organized criminal.
