The RBI has asked all Banks and White Label ATM operators (WLAOS) to make sure their ATMs dispens the denomination bills of ₹ 100 and ₹ 200 regularly.
To this end, the Central Bank ordered the banks and Wlaos that 75 percent of all ATMs must dispense the denomination bills of ₹ 100 or ₹ 200 of at least one cassette for September 30, 2025.
In addition, by March 31, 2026, 90 percent or all ATMs should dispense the denomination tickets of ₹ 100 or ₹ 200 of at least one cassette.
This movement aims to improve public access to denominations or bank tickets used frequently.
