A new multiple agency center (MAC), the country’s main intelligence fusion center, was inaugurated on Friday by the Interior Minister of La Unión, Amit Shah. The center has been technological updated to add more nodes to obtain even information from the remote areas of the country in territories of the island, areas affected by the insurgency and large land.
Located with the Intelligence Agency (IB), the new MAC has connected all the intelligence, security, application of the law and investigations at a time when the threat to India’s offensive after the offensive with Pakistan has increased.
The new installation is expected to improve real -time intelligence exchange, accelerate the response mechanisms and improve inter -institutional synergy to address internal and external threats, said the sources of the Ministry of Interior.
Born in the Kargil War
More than ₹ 500 million rupees were invested to update Mac, which emerged in 2001 after Kargil’s war, both qualitatively and quantitatively, the ministry said in a statement.
It incorporates futuristic capabilities, such as artificial intelligence techniques and integrated automatic learning to take advantage of the potential of the past database with MAC and Geographic Information System services (GIS), outstanding ministry officials.
The MAC had established connectivity between national capital, 25 central member agencies and all state capitals. In the state capitals, the Network links the state MAC, the special branch of the State Police and the offices of all central anti -terrorism agencies and others.
Now, the network has spread to the district headquarters, selected in consultation with the heads of the State Police.
“The new MAC network that covers the length and amplitude of the country, has been woven in the territories of the island of the country, the areas affected by the insurgency and the high altitude mountainous terrain, ensuring last mile connectivity to the district SPS level in the most remote areas with a quick and independent safe network, said the reading of MHA.
Mac against terrorism
After inaugurating the platform in North Block, Shah declared that the Sindoor operation “is a unique symbol or firm political will of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, precise information of the intelligence agencies and the infallible attack capacity of our three armed forces.”
He also asked for the need to integrate other important databases with different central agencies in different silos, in this platform to heprate the analysis of advanced data available with the new MAC.
Shah said that the new network is expected to raise the quality of data analysis, allowing precise trends analysis, access points mapping and timeline analysis to give predictive and operational results.
“The new MAC Synergy the efforts of all agencies and will provide a perfect and integrated platform to face the complex and interconnected current national security challenges,” the Interior Minister observed.
According to him, the new network will strengthen the country’s efforts to deal with serious threats such as terrorism, extremism, organized crime and cyber attacks.
