College Park baseball player James Voorhies is the athlete of the News Group of the Bay Area for March 24-29.
In the children’s survey, James Voorhies had 36.96% to end ahead of Albany Track and Field Sprinter Cooper Hu, who was second with 30.93%.
Voorhies, a last year student, threw a hits, struck out 14 and walked with two batters in College Park’s 5-0 victory over Burlingame.
