A graduated student who moved to a 77 -square -feet micro apartment says he has found the liberating minimalist lifestyle.
Lydia Rouka, 27, is an international postgraduate student in Seoul, South Korea, where he studies businesses.
The micro apartment of 8 feet x 9 feet, also known as Goshiwon, consists of an individual bed, a desk and a chair, shelves, a small refrigerator and a room/bathroom of constructed laws.
Before moving, Lydia had to get rid of many or her possessions.
But to his surprise, he has embraced his new minimalist lifestyle and is “loving.”
Lydia, a graduated student from Frankfurt, Germany, said: “Honestly, he rejected me the amount of things he had accumulated.
“It made me realize how much we consumed without thinking and how little we need.
“I donated and gave a lot, and felt incredible liberating.”
Lydia moved to Seoul about two and a half years ago.
Previously, Lydia lived in shared houses and standard apartments.
This is his sixth movement in the city, but his first time lives in a Goshiwon.
Lydia said: “Four of my places for adjustments were” Western ‘style apartments aimed at expatriates and foreign students.
“One was a typical Korean apartment with three small bedrooms, a kitchen and a common ‘room law’.
“My current home (Goshiwon) is really popular among students and newcomers to Seoul.
“They are filled quickly, especially at the beginning of each semester.
I moved in the middle of the semester, so it was a bit difficult to find a room, hence I ended up with one of the smallest rooms. “
Lydia had to reduce praise to make reinvestment adjust in the 77 ft² micro apartment.
She said: “I have never consulted a minimalist, but this lifestyle child or made me one by default.
“And surprises, I’ve been loving myself!”
Lydia pays $ 328 per month for rent and there is a community kitchen and a laundry room that shares with the other women live on their floor.
Despite space limitations, Lydia finds the cozy and adequate apartment for your needs.
She said: “It’s really comfortable and convenient.
“It helps me stay focused, especially since I am studying full time and working part -time, which means that I am rarely at home turning the day.
“When I return, my little room feels like a cozy capo.
“I decorated it in pink and purple, and I think it’s super cute.”
