The drummer himself, whose real name is Randolph Peter Scanland, published the message again, writing: “I had a great time. Thank you.”

Best played with the Beatles from 1960 to 1962. However, just before the band, which included John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, catapulted in stardom, was replaced by Ringo Starr, 84.

Best, who is still referring to the “Fifth Beatle” by many fans, spoke frankly about working with the group while in the “Late Night With David Letterman” program in 1982.

“First with the boys when they opened the club of my mother The Casper in 1958, when they knew how the Quarymen and were John, George and Paul and another guy called Ken Brown, but we needed a group to open the club,” said his Fellowat. “I was about 16 years old.”

Host David Letterman, 77, had a lot if he had any idea to replace him. Hey, in fact, was aware of what the band’s manager Brian Epstein had in mind.

“No, that was surprising, Dave,” he reflected. “When the incident occurred, it happened completely out of blue. There was no warning. They called me to Brian’s office and he turned around and realized that I was agitated, simply because I was walking up and down and down and down and down.”

“After about three or four minutes he turned around and said:” Pete, I have bad news for you. “He said in a few words, the boys love you and love Ringo Starr.” I couldn’t fix my mind or perspective. “

He did not end up talking with any of the group members after the news.

“After they expelled me, very shortly after that, I joined a group called Lee Curtis and the All-Stars and twice, I played in the same bill as them.”

The band did not speak better at any time.

“Nothing was mentioned,” he revealed. “There was no recognition. Pedregoso silence.”

Best and Starr were also friends before the drummer took his place.

“They caused me many difficulties, complaints, financial shame,” Best admitted. “But I will persevere with my own lifestyle and it was strong enough to turn around and say:” It’s fine, no matter what happened in the past, let’s forget it. “I have managed to retain my identity in my sweet way.”

In 2020, Best once again reflected on being allowed to go for the Beatles.

“We were rockers, we were little burning, we could handle ourselves.

“They made a decision like young men who was safeguarding their future. It’s fine, it could handle the bone better.” If I had been in the same situation and I were another member of the band, it might have been the bad. “

Pete better.

The rocker said that “he does not regret.”

Better aggregate, “I think I am a lucky guy. I am very proud of what I have achieved as a person, of the examples I have put people to continue with your life, to pick you up. I have been an inspiration. And I am proud of that.”
