The Power of Mind, Muscle & Might with Mental Performance Coach and yogi, Julie Mackey

When you meet Julie Mackey  whether through her yoga sessions or her uplifting Instagram posts you’re immediately touched by her calming presence. With over 20 years of experience, she has evolved from a curious yoga student into a certified yoga teacher, mindset and breath coach, and holistic wellness mentor who inspires thousands around the world.

Her journey began as a personal exploration into the mind-body connection. What started with curiosity soon turned into a calling. Today, Jules is a graduate of Purdue University and holds advanced certifications  from E-RYT 500 to meditation instruction and functional movement and is the creator of the “Flex Your Mind, Muscle, Might” philosophy. This unique approach combines mindfulness, yoga, breathwork, self-myofascial release and mobility therapies to help both athletes and everyday individuals unlock their highest potential.

For Jules, yoga is far more than physical exercise; it is a way of life. Her Tri-Flex method connects the Mind through mental performance concepts like meditation and mental imagery, the Muscle through corrective exercise merging yoga, fitness, pain management and self-myofascial release (SMFR), and the Might through breathwork and resilience. She often reminds her community that wellness is not only for the mat it should flow into daily living, family moments, travel, food, and even small rituals like mindful breathing. One of her favorite mantras, “Peace begins with me,” reflects her belief in simple yet powerful practices that ground the spirit.

As a teacher, Jules has earned recognition in Chicago studios, been featured as a “Teacher Spotlight,” and contributed to wellness magazines with sequences and meditation practices. On Instagram, her 40,000+ followers engage daily with her authentic blend of yoga flows, gratitude reflections, and motivational words. She openly shares both joy and vulnerability, writing with honesty about healing, resilience, and self-compassion. In doing so, she has created a digital community where people feel seen and supported.

Jules’s influence also extends to collaborations with wellness brands, workshops, and creative initiatives like her playful “12 Days of Yoga” holiday sequence. Whether guiding professional athletes in mobility training or encouraging parents to take a mindful breath between busy schedules, she approaches wellness with warmth, joy, and balance.
