Google tests replacing ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ with ‘AI Mode’

Google is testing a redesign of its search home page in which the “AI mode”, the experimental search function with AI that the company implemented in early May, replaces its long -standing button “I feel lucky” under the search bar.

A company spokesman confirmed to Verge, who was the first to inform the change, that the characteristic was exhausting some users in the Google experimental laboratories environment. However, it may not be released publicly.

The test occurs only one week before the Google I/O, where the company is expected to announce some important updates of its search offers with AI.

Google rarely makes changes to its search home page, but now you can feel pressure to do it. An Apple executive testified in the Court last week that Google searches in Safari decreased for the first time last month, attributing the change to the increase in AI tools such as Chatgpt.
