US DoJ wants Google to sell two of its ad products

The United States Department of Justice proposes that Google sells two of its advertising products to restore competition in the advertising technological space, according to a new presentation. The proposal occurs after a judge found Google guilty of “acquiring and maintaining the monopoly power” in the digital advertising space last month.

The presentation of the DOJ notes that Google should uninvert its adx adx exchange product, along with a “gradual” sale of Doublelck for editors, an advertisement server for website editors. The department also wants Google to avoid executing an exchange exchange for 10 years after the sale of ADX.

The Department of Justice claimed that Google had “ensured that the editors lost significant income if they did not use ADX.” He also accused the giant of the search to create a monopoly integrating ADX and DFP, forcing websites to use the Google editorial product.

The proposal also ordered Google to open its advertisement purchase tools, including adwords, and asked them to work with all third -party advertising technology products “in non -discriminatory terms with respect to the tender, the coincidence, the placement of advertisements or the pressure of information.” “

“This comprehensive remedy set, including the disinvestment of the monopolies and the main products of Google, is necessary to cancel Google monopolies, deny Google the fruits of their violations of their violations in the exchange of advertisements and the markets of the editors’ advertisement servers and protect against recurrence in the future,” says the edges.

Google proposes its own remedies set in a separate file. These include making ADX real -time offers available for all third -party advertising servers and keep Google’s actions under an independent compliance observer for three years.
