Cincinnati’s Bearcats are mourning for the inopportious and inexplicable death of the 18 -year -old offensive liner Jeremiah Kelly, who died at home early Tuesday.
The first year student of 6-3 and 320 pounds had participated in the spring practices of Bearcat.
“The Bearcats football family is disconsolate by the sudden loss of this outstanding young man,” said Chief coach Scott Sattterfield. “In the short time that Jeremiah has happened with our team, it has had a real impact, both in the countryside and in our locker room. My prayers are with the Kelly family and those who had the pleasure of meeting Jeremiah.”
There has been no cause or death.
“We have suffered a heartbreaking loss today,” said Atlético director John Cunningham. “All of us at UC send our love and prayers to the Kelly family, and we do our best to support them and our students from Bearcats in the difficult days and a week ahead.”
Kelly, a native of Ohio, helped her Avon High School team to an undefeated 16-0 record and a state championship in 2024. He was one of the first affiliates in Cincinnati.
