More than 60,000 people have signed a request that requires Amazon to stop selling goods oriented to Canada as the 51st state of the United States.
A Petition Change.org has obtained approximately 69,310 signatures, asking Amazon to stop selling Pro-Canadá state goods. The petition described that the merchandise was “not only offensive and immoral”, but reinforcing “a direct threat to our democracy.” The petition occurs when President Donald Trump previously joked about Canada State 51.
“Seeing articles for sale that portray this notion on a platform as large as Amazon gives the intimidating tactics of President Trump more power than they deserve, and serve as a constant reminder of the bullying to which we are subject,” the petition, initiated by Williams’s-Dunn. “Every day we find products that hint our involuntary integration in the United States, we are remembered from the imminent danger facing our independent nation.”
The petition continued to describe the sale of the state merchandise 51 pro-Canada in Amazon as sparks of “indignation nationwide.”
“While some can argue that thesis products are harmless, even comedians, ignore and supply sustained economic terrorism that Canada has been supported,” adds the petition. “This is not a joke for us. It is a threat to our autonomy and identity as Canadians.”
Breitbart News previously reported that in December 2024, during a meeting with former Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, Trump “joked by saying that if Trudeau” did not like the idea that 25 percent would impose the assets of Canada, “could avoid the rate by becoming the state 51”.
In a public publication on December 10, Trump said it was a pleasure to have dinner with the “Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada.”
In January, after the Trudeau resignation announcement, Trump again offered to merge Canada with the United States, stating that “there would be no tariffs”, and that “taxes would go down a lot.”
“Many people in Canada love to be state 51,” Trump wrote about Truth Social at that time. “The United States can no longer suffer from mass commercial deficits and the subsidies that Canada needs to stay afflate. Justin Trudeau knew and resigned.”
Trump added: “If Canada merged with the United States, there would be no tariffs, taxes would go down a lot, and they would be totally sure of the threat of Russian and Chinese ships that constantly surround them.
In February, Trudeau Tok an opportunity against Trump after the Canadian national team “defeated the United States in the 4 -nations hockey championship,” and declared: “Our country cannot be taken” or its game.
