The Delicatessen store, the bakery and other hot food services in the Whole Foods store in Cupertino remain suspended days after health officials found evidence of a rodent infestation that includes fresh droppings in the kitchen and the foods of meals.

You can see empty showcases in the store on Saturday. A sign within the cases establishes that the department is temporarily closed for maintenance work.

“Food security is our main priority,” says the sign. “We are working to restore services as quickly as possible and make sure to meet all safety standards.”

When asked about the reopening of the updates of this news organization, the store staff addressed all the questions to the company’s representatives. A Whole Foods spokesman had not responded late on Saturday afternoon.

The rest of the store remains open to the public.

The store, located in 20955 Stevens Creek Blvd, temporarily suspended those departments on April 7, after inspections of the Department of Environmental Health of Santa Clara County, according to the department’s records.

The health inspectors visited the store for the first time on March 25 and 26, and observed fresh rodents falling into multiple areas of the Delicatessen section, including the preparation and area of equipment storage, the back of the house and separating the main sales. The inspectors also found several traps for the team behind and under the team.

According to the report, the bakery section had several live cockroaches near the dishwasher and under the sink of the compartment on the other side of the wall. Two dead cockroaches were also on a wall behind a wire rack that held the dishes.

According to the county, the food center must remain closed until there is no longer evidence of an infestation, all contaminated surfaces have been cleaned and disinfected; and contributing factors such as cleaning, repairs and elimination of ports have been resolved.

The Cupertino store is one of the largest integral foods in California and opened in 2007.

This is a developing story, consult the updates again.
