China’s cinematographic authorities threaten to “moderately reduce” the number of American films allowed in the country in response to the rates that President Trump imposed on the communist nation.

“The wrong action of the United States government to abuse tariffs on China will inevitably reduce the favorability of the domestic audience towards US films,” said China’s film administration in a statement on Thursday. “We will follow the market rules, respect the choice of the audience and moderately reduce the number of imported American films.”

China’s cinematographic authority did not release a list of films in the list of prohibitions, but the launch of May of Marvel’s Hammers It has already been approved before liberation in China.

“We are pleased that the China Film Administration has clarified its position on the imports of films in the United States and very safe, given our decades of business and solid relations in the country, which the robust slate of IMAX in China, Whatich includes Hollywood, Wille A Materms. A Material Films to Material, Materms, Materms, to Materms, to Materms, to Materms. The first quarter in the country, “Magex said in a statement.

Trump stopped his tariffs threatened in 75 countries on Wednesday, but China was not one of them, the envelope said.

“Based on the lack of respect that China has demonstrated to the world markets, I am raising the rate charged to China for the United States of America to 125%, an effective imediatrics,” Trump said. “At some point, hopefully in the near future, China will realize that the days of cheating the United States and another country are no longer sustainable or acceptable.”

Even so, Hollywood has been reducing its dependence on the second largest film market in the world, since US films have seen incomsment falling as Chinese fans have moved away from US entertainment. Last year, for example, US films received $ 585 million in China last year. But that route was only about 3.5 percent of the Chinese box office of $ 17.71 billion, the Verge reported.

That does not mean that American films are not gaining effective in China.

This month, the Minecraft movie He opened first in China with $ 14.5 million ticket sales, Deadline reported.
