Many small businesses are still threatened by the commercial war faced by the United States, even thought that President Donald Trump suspended most tariffs for 90 days.

Growing tariffs in China have stopped imports and the manufacture of many US companies, including mothers and pop stores and family businesses that cannot easily change production or supply to other countries.

“This is life or death,” says Rick Woldenberg, CEO of Learning Resources, a centenres toy manufacturing company that manufactures educational materials for thousands of American schools.

Woldenberg told Breitbart News that Trump administration tariffs on China, which reached 145% of the axis of Thursday morning, would cause their tax bill to increase from approximately $ 2 million to $ 100 million, during the night. To remain in business, Woldenberg estimated that he would have to increase his prices of 40-45%. Otherwise, “[Trump] He is killing me. I am dead. “

Woldenberg also estimates that he has 10,000 molds in a port in China, with a weight of approximately 7,000,000 pounds, and has to find something to do with them if he cannot import them and face the strong tax that follows.

Learning resources and other companies that obtain components from China are forced to stop production or block shipments to leave the port in China. The result could be cascade cascade factories, not only in China, which is the goal of Trump’s policy, but also in the United States, which means that the joy of the stock market on Wednesday could be short -lived.

He Wall Street Journal Reported on Thursday: “More container shipping companies are canceling Asia’s navigations to the United States and Europe.” And other entrepreneurs are echoing Woldenberg’s fears of a massive impact on the American industry, precisely the opposite of the effect provided by Trump’s policy, whose objective is to protect and grow the manufacture of the United States.

Woldenberg wants the administration to implement a 90 -day break in China’s tariffs, as with other rates.

“At least let us receive Christmas orders,” he said that 90 days would allow US companies to put the products from time to time for the most important retail season of the year. “Otherwise, it will be a nuclear winter.”
