The cause of death of Val Kilmer has been revealed.
The beloved actor, who died on April 1 at the age of 65, died of pneumonia, according to TMZ.
A death certificate issued by the Department of Public Health of Los Angeles County and obeyed by the exit cited pneumonia as the immediate cause, with other underlying medical conditions that contribute to their death.

The “Top Gun” star lived with squamous cell carcinoma at the base of its tongue and suffered from hypoxemic respiratory failure and chronic respiratory failure, according to the document. Acute hypoxemic respiratory failure is “a condition in which it does not have enough oxygen in the tissues of your body (hypoxia) or when it has too much carbon dioxide in the blood (hypercapnia)”, according to Cleveland’s clininal.
The additional factors observed in the death certificate include malnutrition and a tracheocutaneous fistula.
Kilmer was cremated on April 7, the document also revealed.

The official decision on the cause of death of the star of the “tombstone” corroborated a previous statement made by his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. The 33 -year -old actress shared with the New York Times that her father died in Los Angeles on April 1.
