President Donald Trump blames his predecessors and not to China for the commercial imbalance between the United States and China.
Trump criticized the presidents who presented him in response to a question by Breitbart News Duration, an executive order signed in the Oval office on Wednesday.
“[China is] Very capable, and I don’t blame China for what happened. I blame sitting people … just behind this desk or other desk: you get your choice of seven, “Trump said, referring to previous presidents.” It happened that he chose the resolved. But I blame the sitting people … this desk for being stupid, incompetent or not having courage. This should have made the leg years ago. This should have been done before Obama, with all justice, not only Biden, Obama. “
Trump said the commercial imbalance with China goes back to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
“This began with the World Trade Organization, which was owned by China. It was owned and paid by China. They had to do things. They give them a nation that was not developed,” he said. “They said they were a developing nation. Well, we are a developing nation, if you think about it, look at our interior cities. Look what happened. I think we are starting from the zero zone there, right? So we are a nation of development.”
“I know … Many people would be hot to put it, but I blame people who sit in this desk more than blame China … They were stupid people, maybe corrupt, I don’t know,” he added. “I don’t know how you could be so stupid. How can you be president and you are stupid? But they were certainly not brave, and allowed this to happen,” he added.
By emphasizing that it is not simply China that has benefited from unbalanced trade with the United States, Trump established that, during the first term, he would read the commercial agreements that his predecessors had entered and wondered how one could have to agree.
“And with Japan and with many other countries that took advantage of us,” he said. “We had deficits with almost all countries. I used to read these theses, first term, read them. In fact, I read the agreements. I would say:” How could anyone agree with these things? “Then, certainly, they were rough and were hard and intelligent, and you can blame them, but I really blame the people who allowed them to do so because, you know, if you could read the first degree and you admitted.”
