“Andrew Cuomo is a corrupt and despicable human being, who should not be allowed anywhere near the City Council and is an unacceptable option for the mayor.”

Cuomo is the clear leader in the surveys for the Democratic nomination, despite a storm of attacks and his final resignation after numerous accusations of sexual harassment with his levels by former employees of Albany and other women and scandals that involve their management of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cuomo has denied accusations.

While turning his opponent, Lander did not do everything possible to criticize the growing democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani, the state assemblyman of Astoria, Queens and candidate for mayor who supports the Boicot Israel.

Lander, a liberal Jew and Zionist, said he was in clouding with Mamdani on various issues related to Israel.

Separately, the Comptroller said the law supports to close the Rikers Island complex and supports a smaller population with prisons of four directors.

He had voted for law to gradually eliminate Rikers when he was a Brooklyn councilor.

Lander also acknowledged that he did not rule out running as a candidate for the party of working families in the general elections. William Farrington

But he admitted that rikers cannot close if the city cannot reduce the prison population by thousands of inmates.
.
“If these forms fail, then we cannot close to Rikers. To close Rikers, we have to have successful strategies to treat those problems,” Lander said.

For example, hundreds of more treatment beds are needed for criminal defendants who have mental illnesses and delays in trials should be drastically reduced, he said.

The Brooklyn Pol also said that he supported the impulse of Governor Kathy Hochul to expand the authority to force people with serious mental health problems to treatment after the crazy cuts of Soho and Southern Brooklyn.

“I am looking for flexibility for involuntary hospitalization,” he said.

Lander said the Muslim Bruston, the homeless man who cut a woman in her neck in Soho and had one leg inside and out of about 36 mental health audiences for the violent 2019 robbery of a 13 -year -old boy and later broke a sauce from the New York police so loud.

On education, Lander excited himself with the Network of the Autonomous School of Dream where his son, Marek works.

But he opposes raising the state limit in Charter schools in New York City to replicate the success of Dream Charter.

The limit has been reached and the new Charter schools cannot open without a state law to increase or eliminate the limit.

The so -called Dream Charter “A Fantastic Institution”, which has a longer school year and students’ students, the assumption of up to six years after graduation.

When asked about lifting the limit to replicate the success of Dream Charter, Lander said it would focus on 2,800 traditional public schools if he chose the mayor instead of expanding the popular Charter schools with public financing, but privately administered.

“I would have many other priorities … it’s not part of me [education agenda]”He said or expansion of the Charter school.
