A 15 -year -old boy killed his grandmother and stabbed her mother, who was helped by a driver who passed after she fled the bloody scene in her home of Long Island on Monday night, the police.
The mother of the teenager, Vanessa Chendemi, 36, ran out of his house as Selden after her son had stabbed her around 9:45 pm, marking a motorist and calling 911 once she was in her vehicle, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
When the police arrived at the residence in 802 Old Town Road, they found the adolescent’s grandmother, Concetta Chendemi, 56, with multiple white weapon wounds.
It was declared dead on the scene.
Vanessa Chendemi was tasks for a hospital in the area in stable condition.


The teenager, who has not identified the leg by the authorities due to his age, fled the scene after the stabbing.
The police tracked him and put him in custody less than half a mile near Dare Road and Buckskin Lane in Selden around 11:22 pm
He is accused of second degree murder and attempt at murder and is scheduled to be prosecuted in the first district court in the center of Islip on Tuesday.
