ESPN said on Monday that Justin Timberlake and producer Timbaland will collaborate once more to choose the music for a few “Monday Night Football” games during the 2023–24 NFL season. Starting with the Sept. 11 season opener featuring the Buffalo Bills versus. New York Jets, the song will be used in commercial pieces, live telecasts, and pregame shows for seven weeks.

“Keep Going Up,” a brand-new song from Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, and singer Nelly Furtado, which will be included in a Week 1 promotional spot, will serve as the curation’s opening track.

Last working together on the 2007 smash “Give It To Me,” which reached at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs list, was Timberlake, Timbaland, and Furtado. Many of Timberlake’s most popular songs over the course of his career, such as “Cry Me a River,” “Mirrors,” and “Say Something,” which features Chris Stapleton, were also produced by Timbaland.
According to Curtis Friends, senior director of sports marketing at ESPN, “football and music go hand-in-hand, like the renowned Timbaland and Justin Timberlake duo, who collaborated on songs to nearly perfection. “ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’ music curation is well-liked by viewers due to the access this arrangement offers to fresh and unusual mashups of music and sport.
