Elton John was taken to the hospital after having “a slip” on Sunday at home.
The 76-year-old iconic musician was injured in a fall while at his property outside of Nice, France, and was flown to Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco. John was observed all night long.
According to a statement given to CNN on Monday by John’s manager, Elton visited the neighborhood hospital as a preventative measure. After examinations, he was released from the hospital this morning and is now living at home in good health.
The “Rocket Man” singer had his tour dates postponed in 2021 due to a difficult fall that hurt his hip and necessitated surgery.
“I’ve been told I should have surgery as soon as possible to regain my fitness and ensure there are no long term complications.
In an interview with Lorraine last year, he admitted, “I wouldn’t be 100% fit, I wouldn’t be 100% confident, because I’m in pain most of the time with my hip.” “I can’t move sideways, I can’t get in and out of a car, and a choice had to be made, because I wouldn’t want to go onstage and give anything less than 100 percent.”
